Maine Coon Kittens for Sale Utah Families Can Bring Home

Utah is the closest state on this list, and the only one where a good number of families simply drive over and collect. St. George is barely a day out.

The honest answer

Drive, or fly? Genuinely both work here

St. George is about seven hours from Jamul, Salt Lake City about eleven. Plenty of Utah families make the drive, meet us, and have their kitten home the same night without anyone else ever handling them.

If you would rather fly, Salt Lake City is a short hop: about an hour and a half nonstop from San Diego, which is one of the gentlest journeys we arrange.

How a Kitten Reaches Utah

Drive down and collect

The most common choice for southern Utah. Nothing to arrange, nobody else handling your kitten, and I-15 the whole way.

A flight nanny into Salt Lake City

Ninety minutes in the cabin and a handoff at arrivals. About as short as a flight nanny trip gets.

Fly in and carry them home

Easily a day trip from SLC. Fly down in the morning, meet the kitten, fly back in the afternoon with them under the seat.

We never place a kitten in cargo. If a route only works that way, we will tell you it does not work.

Worth knowing

What Catches Utah Families Out

Winter on I-15 through the Virgin River Gorge, if you are driving. It is a spectacular stretch and it closes for snow and rockfall with very little notice. Check it the morning you set off, not the week before.

Altitude is a smaller issue than people expect. Jamul is not at sea level and Salt Lake is not that high, so the change is mild. Keep water where the kitten can always reach it for the first few days and that is genuinely the whole adjustment.

The third is summer road heat. If you drive in July, cross the Mojave stretch early in the morning or in the evening, keep the air conditioning on the back seat, and never leave the carrier in a parked car.

Settling in

The First Few Days at Home

Utah kittens usually arrive in better shape than any others, simply because the journey is short. That tempts families to skip the quiet room. Do not skip the quiet room.

Keep the food the same for a week or two, and if you drove, expect them to be more awake than you would like by the time you get home.

Utah families come from Salt Lake City, Provo, Ogden, St. George, Sandy, Orem, Layton, Lehi and Park City.

What Your Kitten Travels With

Every kitten goes home spayed or neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and wormed, with a health certificate, a carrier and a one year genetic health warranty. Read the contract. A $350 deposit holds a kitten against the $650 price, and travel is quoted separately.
