Maine Coon Kittens for Sale Ohio Families Can Bring Home

Ohio has three airports with nonstop service and no obvious winner between them, which means the right choice depends entirely on which drive you would rather do at the other end.

The honest answer

Three airports, so which one?

Columbus, Cleveland and Cincinnati all take a nonstop from San Diego in around four hours. None is meaningfully better than the others from our side of the trip.

So the question is yours rather than ours: tell us the town and we will work backwards to whichever airport makes the shortest total day. Families in the northeast lean Cleveland, the southwest leans Cincinnati, and the middle of the state has Columbus more or less on the doorstep.

Your options

How a Kitten Reaches Ohio

A flight nanny into any of the three

Cabin only, handed to you at arrivals. Having three options means a delay rarely costs you the whole day.

Fly in and carry them home

Four hours each way makes this an overnight rather than a day trip, but plenty of Ohio families have done it and preferred it.

Ground transport

Two to three days by road, door to door, with updates along the way. Worth asking about if airports are not how you want to spend a morning.

We never place a kitten in cargo. If a route only works that way, we will tell you it does not work.

Worth knowing

What Catches Ohio Families Out

Lake Erie snow in the northeast, which behaves nothing like the statewide forecast. Cleveland can be closed while Columbus is clear, and from December we plan around that rather than hoping.

The second is that the cheapest of the three airports is quite often the most expensive once you count the drive. Compare the whole day, not the ticket.

And a four hour flight lands in the afternoon if you let it. We book mornings so that you are home, unpacked and settled before the evening rather than arriving in the dark.

Settling in

The First Few Days at Home

Ohio kittens usually arrive bright, which tempts everyone to do introductions immediately. Give it a day. One room, quiet, with the litter box away from the food.

Keep the food the same for the first week or two, and let the household meet the kitten in ones rather than all at once.

Ohio families reach us from Columbus, Cleveland, Cincinnati, Toledo, Akron, Dayton, Canton, Youngstown and Parma.

What Your Kitten Travels With

Every kitten goes home spayed or neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and wormed, with a health certificate, a carrier and a one year genetic health warranty. Read the contract. A $350 deposit holds a kitten against the $650 price, and travel is quoted separately.
