Maine Coon Kittens for Sale Georgia Families Can Bring Home

Almost every Georgia kitten travels through Atlanta, which is both the easiest thing about the trip and the thing most likely to move your date.

The honest answer

Why the Atlanta schedule decides everything

Hartsfield-Jackson is the busiest airport in the world and there is a nonstop from San Diego most days, about four and a half hours. That frequency is a real advantage: if something slips there is another option the same day rather than the same week.

The flip side is that Atlanta delays are a genuine feature of summer afternoons. We book the earliest departure available, which is less about the heat and more about staying ahead of the thunderstorms that build from about two o’clock.

How a Kitten Reaches Georgia

A flight nanny into Atlanta

The standard route. Your kitten stays in the cabin and is handed to you at arrivals, and the sheer number of flights means we can usually pick a morning.

Fly in and carry your kitten home

A round trip from Atlanta is very doable in a weekend, and you meet the parents and see the room the kittens are raised in.

Ground transport

Three days across the south. Possible, occasionally sensible for the far south of the state, and something we will look at properly rather than dismiss.

We never place a kitten in cargo. If a route only works that way, we will tell you it does not work.

Worth knowing

What Catches Georgia Families Out

Summer afternoons, as above. A two o’clock arrival into Atlanta in July is a coin toss, and we would rather book the six in the morning departure and have you home before the weather starts.

The second is the size of the airport itself. Arrivals handoffs at ATL go far better when you have parked and walked in than when you are circling the kerb with a phone in your hand. Give yourself the extra twenty minutes.

And if you are closer to Savannah or Chattanooga than to Atlanta, say so at the start. A connection into a small airport is sometimes worse for the kitten than a longer drive from a big one, but not always, and it is worth actually checking.

Settling in

The First Few Days at Home

Georgia humidity in summer is a real change from Jamul. Cool car, short handover, and a quiet air-conditioned room ready before you leave for the airport.

Keep the food the same for the first fortnight. A kitten who has had a four and a half hour flight does not also need a new diet in the same week.

Georgia families reach us from Atlanta, Savannah, Augusta, Columbus, Macon, Athens, Marietta, Alpharetta and Roswell.

Prepared for Home

What Your Kitten Travels With

Every kitten goes home spayed or neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and wormed, with a health certificate, a carrier and a one year genetic health warranty. Read the contract. A $350 deposit holds a kitten against the $650 price, and travel is quoted separately.
