Pinkerton
White with odd eyes. Pinkerton is about the same size as Theo and has produced many beautiful kittens. His pronounced muzzle is one of his standout features. HCM n/n, SMA, PKD, PKDef, FeLV, and FIV negative.
Greyson
High Silver Smoke. Greyson joined our program to continue the smoke lines started by Noel and to be paired with smoke daughters retained from those lines. HCM n/n, SMA, PKD, FeLV, and FIV negative.
Easton
High Silver carrier Shaded. Easton has a notably long body and strong overall type. He is planned for shaded and high silver females. HCM n/n, SMA, PKD, FeLV, and FIV negative.
Reading The Results
What Our Screening Panel Covers
Every cat above lists the same panel, and the codes are worth understanding before you compare any two catteries.
HCM is hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, the heart condition the breed is best known for. n/n means the cat carries no copy of the tested mutation. SMA is spinal muscular atrophy, which affects the muscles of the hind legs. PKD is polycystic kidney disease and PKDef is pyruvate kinase deficiency, an inherited anaemia. FeLV and FIV are feline leukaemia and feline immunodeficiency virus, tested by blood rather than by DNA.
A DNA result applies for life and does not need repeating. FeLV and FIV are a point in time and are retested as part of ongoing veterinary care. Ask any breeder to show you the certificates themselves rather than a summary, ours included.
